Blue Mountain Regional Beach Access sits at the highest elevation point along the Gulf of Mexico coastline, giving this stretch of 30A its distinctive character. The coastal bluffs here rise to about 64 feet above sea level — modest by mountain standards but dramatic for the Gulf Coast — and the blue lupine wildflowers that once covered these dunes gave the community its name.

Blue Mountain Beach is the most bohemian community on 30A, with local favorites like Blue Mountain Bakery, The Blue Mabel, and For The Health Of It Cafe drawing a creative, laid-back crowd. The community has resisted overdevelopment more than most 30A neighborhoods, maintaining an authentic, artsy character.
