Beach Bonfires in Dune Allen Beach

Dune Allen Beach marks the western end of South Walton's beach communities along 30A and offers a more secluded, nature-oriented experience than the communities further east. Named for the Allen family who originally settled the area, this small community is bordered by Topsail Hill Preserve State Park and the rare coastal dune lakes that define this stretch of coast.

The beach here is wide, quiet, and backed by some of the tallest natural dunes on 30A. Topsail Hill Preserve State Park, adjacent to Dune Allen, protects over 1,600 acres of coastal habitat and has a beach consistently rated among the best in Florida. The natural beauty is striking — towering sand dunes, undeveloped shoreline, and water so clear you can see straight to the sandy bottom.

Dune Allen is home to Stallworth Lake and the Dune Allen Regional Beach Access, which has parking, restrooms, and an easy boardwalk to the beach. The access point is well-maintained and can accommodate groups arriving for bonfire setups.

The smaller size and western location of Dune Allen mean it's less visited by tourists, which is exactly why some of our guests love it.
